It is of hybrid origin. In mid-Summer, Agastache aurantiaca 'Apricot Sprite' constantly bear small, fragrant apricot, tubular flowers, followed later by seeds. Hummingbirds, butterflies and bees are magnetized by the nectar-rich blossoms of Orange Hummingbird Mint. Agastache aurantiaca 'Apricot Sprite' has herbaceous green foliage. It is easily propagated from seeds and thrives best in well-drained, mildly acidic, alkaline or neutral soil in a sunny location. Mass plant for a terrific display in the perennial borders. Jewel of the Sierra can also be container cultivated. It tolerates drought well and is low maintainence. The anise-scented flowers of Agastache aurantiaca 'Aprico Sprite' are a welcoming sight in the Summer landscape.
