Comments: Agastache foeniculum 'Golden Jubilee', or Anise Hyssop or Licorice Mint is a fabulous hybrid perennial with an upright, compact, dense clumping growth habit. In mid-Summer, it constantly bear small, fragrant blue-violet, tubular flowers, followed later by seeds. Hummingbirds, butterflies and bees are magnetized by the nectar-rich blossoms of Agastache 'Golden Jubilee'. The freshly cut flowers makes great floral arrangements. It has herbaceous glowy, chartreuse to yellow serrated foliage and when crushed, the leaves delightfully smells like licorice. Anise Hyssop 'Golden Jubilee' is easily propagated from seeds. It thrives best in well-drained, mildly acidic, alkaline or neutral soil in a sunny location. Licorice Mint 'Golden Jubilee' is low maintenance. It self sows readily. Deers would not go near it. Mass plant Agastache foenicum 'Golden Jubilee' for a terrific display in the perennial beds. It can also be container cultivated. Cut back plants to about 6" in the Fall. The licorice scent and glowy colors makes Anise Hyssop 'Golden Jubilee' a terrific addition to the Summer landscape.
