Comments:  Althernanthera ficoidea 'Partytime' or Calico Plant or Iresine or Joseph's Coat or Parrot Leaf is a tropical tender perennial with an upright growth habit.  It is a native of South America.  In mid-Fall, Althernanthera ficoidea 'Partytime' produces white blossoms.  The 2" long showy variegated foliage has a splash of shocking pink.  Calico Plant is easily propagated from stem cuttings or rootball divisions.  It thrives best in well-drained, acidic or alkaline soil in a sunny to part shade environment.  Iresine looks great in borders.  It can also be container cultivated.  Joseph's Coat is a superb foliage plant.  Parrot Leaf is really eye-catching and attracts a lot of attention.
