Origin:  Southern United States and south to northern Argentina
Family:  Cannaceae (canna)

Blooms:  Bright yellow, red, dotted with speckles on petals
Foliage:  Large, herbaceous, green-bronze with large purple blotches
Soil:  Rich, keep moist
Water:  Tolerates wetness
Fertilizer:  Once a month with 10-10-10
Pest / Disease:  Japanese beetles, bud rot, rust, mosaic

Propagation:  Rhizome division, seeds
Uses: Large container, center of flower bed, center of formal garden, pond
