Canna Lily 'King City Gold'

Origin:  Southern United States and south to northern Argentina
Family:  Cannaceae (canna)
Light:  Full sun

Blooms:  Iris-like, large, rounded, golden yellow with rows of cinnamon dots decorating their throats, mid-Summer
Foliage:  Medium green
Soil:  Rich, mildly acidic, keep moist
Water:  Tolerates wetness
Fertilizer:  Once a month with 10-10-10
Pest / Disease:  Japanese beetles, bud rot, rust, mosaic
Propagation:  Rhizome division

Comments:  Canna Lily 'King City Gold' is a showy medium height tropical perennial that is very easy to grow as it only needs 6 hours of sunshine and it multiplies fast. Remove spent flowers from plant to promote new growth.
