Canna Lily Black Knight

Origin:  Southern United States and south to northern Argentina
Family:  Cannaceae (canna)
Light:  Full sun
Height:  4-6'
Spread:  1'-2' 
Blooms:  Scarlet, mid-Summer
Foliage:  Large, deep purplish green
Soil:  Rich, mildly acidic, keep moist
Water:  Tolerates wetness
Fertilizer:  Once a month with 10-10-10
Pest / Disease:  Japanese beetles, bud rot, rust, mosaic

Propagation:  Rhizome division, seeds
Uses: Large container, center of flower bed, center of formal garden, pond
Comments:  Canna Lily Black Knight is a showy tropical perennial that is very easy to grow as it only needs 6 hours of sunshine and it multiplies fast. Remove spent flowers to promote new growth.
