Comments: Hemerocallis 'Malja' or Variegated Daylily 'Golden Zebra' is a unique and carefree beautiful dwarf daylily.  when grown in the shade, the showy foliage will be green and white in color  or green and yellow color when grown in the sun.  This perennial plant is heat, cold and humidity-tolerant. Even though the flowers last only a day however it is such a delightful plant to have as it keeps on blooming the whole season long if you remove the spent flowers.  To bring out the best colors in the daylily, light colors have to be in full sun (at least 6 hours) while the dark colors have to be in part shade during the hottest part of the day so their colors would not fade.
