Comments: Canna 'Striped Beauty' or Canna Lily 'Bangkok' or Canna 'Christ's Light' or Canna 'King of Siam' or Canna 'Minerva', or Canna 'Nirvana' is a perennial with a fast clumping, rhizomatous growth habit. It has splendid variegated foliage with green with white bands, making it an excellent foliage plant. In mid-Summer, Canna 'Striped Beauty' produces red buds which opens to exquisite bright yellow blossoms with interesting white stripe in some of the petals. Hummingbirds are magnetized by the nectar-rich flowers. Canna Lily 'Bangkok' is easily propagated from rhizome or offset divisions. It thrives best in well-drained, mildly acidic, neutral or alkaline soil in a sunny environment. Canna 'Christ's Light' spreads by means of its rhizomatous roots. Mass plant Canna 'Nirvana' as foundation plants for a showy display. Canna 'King of Siam' looks fabulous in large containers; use them in the sunny deck or patio. It is an eye-catching plant for the wet garden. Divide clumps when overcrowded. Canna 'Minerva' is a great addition to Jenny's garden.
