Comments: Crassula ovata or Dollar Plant or Jade Plant or Jade Tree or Money Tree or Crassula argentea or Crassula portulaca is a tender tropical succulent with a slow growth habit. In mid-Winter it produces pink, purple and white blossoms. Crassula ovata has smooth succulent foliage. It is easily propagated from leaf cuttings and thrives well in well-drained, mildly acidic soil, in a sunny location. Dollar Plant tolerates drought and is low maintainence. Jade Plant makes a neat bonsai plant. It is excellent for xeriscaping. Mass plant in a desert garden for a showy display. Money Tree loves humidity and does not tolerate frost. Crassula portulaca makes a nice shrub in the rock garden. Crassula argentea is popular with many gardeners as it is an easy plant to grow and does not demand much attention.
