Comments: Erica x darleyensis 'Mediterannean Pink' or Darley Dale Heath or Darley Heath or Winter Heath is an evergreen shrub with a low mounding growth habit. From late Winter to early Spring, it produces interesting masses of small, white bell-shaped flowers. Erica x darleyensis 'Mediterannean Pink' has small, needle-like green leaves, providing year-round interest. Darley Dale Heath is easily propagated from softwood cuttings or layering in Spring or Fall. It thrives best in well-drained, humus-rich moist, acidic soil in a sunny location. Winter Heath is low maintenance. Trim after flowering for a neater appearance and keep base of plant neat and clean. Mass plant Erica x darleyensis 'Mediterranean Pink' as groundcovers under taller plants or pine trees for a pleasing visual effect. It adds color to the rock garden and looks terrific as edgers.
