Comments:  Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' or Blue Fescue is an ornamental perennial grass with a compact, low , clumping growth habit.  It is a native of France.  In mid-Spring, Festuca galuca 'Elijah Blue' produces white blossoms on long stalk above awesome evergreen blue-green foliage.  Blue Fescue is easily propagated from seeds or rootball divisions.  It performs best in a sunny to part shade location in well-drained, mildly acidic soil.  Mass plant Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' along perennial borders for a fascinating display.  Use them along walkways or driveways.  Blue Fescue is low maintenance and tolerates drought, hence is excellent for xeriscaping.  Rabbits enjoy feasting on this plant.  Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' tolerates frost well and looks awesome when the top part of this evergreen plant pokes out of the snow in Winter.  The true blue color of Blue Fescue definitely attracts passer-by.
