Beautiful green glossy foliage of the Asplenium nidus plant

Light:  Low-moderate, indirect light
Height:  Up to 6'   
Spread:  2'-4'
Foliage:  Green, long, glossy, smooth, lance-shaped

Soil:
  Well-drained, keep moist always, highly acidic to nuetral (pH: 5.1-7.5)  
Water:  Abundant
Insects / Disease:  Watch for snails and scales
Propagation: Divide rootballs, from spores, on the underside of the fronds
Comments: Aspledium nidus or Bird's Nest Fern or Speenwort or Shuttlecock or Crow's Nest Fern or Aspledium antiquum or Aspledium ficifolium or Neottopteris mautitiana or  Neottopteris musefolia or Neottopteris nidusis a tropical and sub-tropical plant.  This is a large epiphytic in its natural habitat and likes very high humidity. Fertilize twice a year in Spring and in Summer for optimal growth. Bird's Nest Fern makes a great show-stopper as a container or as an indoor plant.
