It has a unique variegation in its leaves which change color in the Spring and Summer. In mid-Summer, the intense silvery-blue flowers are a plus; the blooms are a florist's delight as they are long lasting and they make excellent dried or fresh cut flower arrangements. It blooms later than its counterpart; in late Summer, 3-4 feet long scapes of floriferous, very fragrant white flowers appear atop the mounding pale green foliage. Hosta Honeybells is easy to grow and carefree. It spreads about 5 feet along the ground. Eventhough Hosta Honeybells produces seeds, the plants will not bear fragrant blooms. In Summer, pretty pink or white tubular-shaped flowers appears on long spikes. Swedish Ivy is easily propagated from cuttings rooted in moist soil or in water. It is upright when young but mature plants tend to trail. Plectranthus australis loves the heat and humidity and would enjoy bright indirect light and being misted on hot Summer days. Plectranthus marginatus are excellent hanging basket plants. Its attractive leaves makes it a great foliage plant when not in bloom. Be cautious when handling plants as the stems are easily susceptible to breakage. Pinch or prune Swedish Ivy to promote branching and new growth. |

The young edible green pods are sweet and crunchy. To promote abundant pods, harvest them regularly. Children marvel at the looks of Prickly Caterpillar and are eager to touch them. Prickly Scorpion Tail is a novelty plant that will cause a stir and strike up a great conversation. |
