Comments:
Hosta Fortunei aureomarginata or Hosta Golden Crown or Hosta
Yellow Edge or Plantain Lily is a low-maintenance
perennial groundcover. It has a medium, mounding growth habit. The
lovely long-lasting pale lavender blooms of Plantain Lily attract
hummingbirds and they make excellent cut flower arrangements. The
gorgeous coloration of the foliage is very eye-catching and draws a lot of
attention. Hosta Golden Crown is a self-seeder; the seeds are
viable and are easily
propagated in a moist area and clumps can be divided anytime. Grown in masses
in filtered sunlight,
Hosta Yellow Edge makes gorgeous looking edging or specimen plants
in the perennial bedding or as border plants around a tree.
Grow this exquisite-looking plant in a container to accent the patio or
deck or grow these charmig plants en masse in a cottage setting. Compost
Hosta Fortunei aureomarginata well in
the Fall. Protect from frost.
