is a
flowering semi-evergreen perennial plant with a low,
mat-forming growth habit. In late Spring or early Summer, it
produces pretty bright yellow blossoms among exquisite variegated foliage;
this is followed later by seeds.
Lamium glaeobdolon' is easily propagated from seeds
in the Fall or herbaceous stem
cuttings in Summer or rhizome divisions taken in Spring. It thrives well in a
well-drained moist soil in a lightly shade location.
Yellow Archangel
has spectacular variegated foliage making it an ideal foliage plant.
Mass plant
Galeobdolon luteum as
ideal
groundcovers
under taller trees or around ponds. It spreads by rhizomatous
roots and soon fills up a nice area. Use these eye-catching plants
around the pond or water fountain where it can enjoy the constant mist.
Lamiastrum galeobdolon
compliments well with Hostas or Huechera.
It is a terrific show stopper.
