Lamium glaeobdolon or Yellow Archangel or Galeobdolon luteum or Lamiastrum galeobdolon is a flowering semi-evergreen perennial plant with a low, mat-forming growth habit.   In late Spring or early Summer, it produces pretty bright yellow blossoms among exquisite variegated foliage; this is followed later by seeds.  Lamium glaeobdolon' is easily propagated from seeds in the Fall or herbaceous stem cuttings in Summer or rhizome divisions taken in Spring.  It thrives well in a well-drained moist soil in a lightly shade location.   Yellow Archangel has spectacular variegated foliage making it an ideal foliage plant.  Mass plant Galeobdolon luteum as ideal groundcovers under taller trees or around ponds.  It spreads by rhizomatous roots and soon fills up a nice area.  Use these eye-catching plants around the pond or water fountain where it can enjoy the constant mist.  Lamiastrum galeobdolon compliments well with Hostas or Huechera.  It is a terrific show stopper.
