Liriope muscari 'Variegata' or Variegated Lily Turf, Variegated  Monkey Grass is an attractive perennial with a low, clumping growth habit.  In Summer, lovely violet spikes of blossoms arise above the variegated foliage, followed by clusters of small black berries with seeds.  Liriope muscari 'Variegata' is easily propagated from seeds or rootball divisions.  It is a tough plant and thrives well in a sunny to part shade environment.  Monkey Grass is care-free and low maintenance.  It slowly increases its clumps.  Mass plant Variegated Lily turf as understory plants or as groundcover for a lovely visual effect.  Variegated  Monkey Grass looks appealing along the driveway or as border plants in the perennial flower bed.
