Comments:
Pachysandra
terminalis 'Silver Edge' or Silveredge or
Pachysandra
Variegata or
Variegated Pachysandra
is a slow-growing, maintenance-free perennial that spreads by underground rhizomes.
It will spread better
the second year of growth.
Silveredge
is not picky abut soil types and is easily propagated by
underground rhizomes and
stem
cuttings taken in Summer. Variegated
Pachysandra
forms colonies. Plant them in well-drained soil to
prevent
root rot.
If grown in part sun in northern areas and in the southern areas, plant
them in the shade.
Silveredge is
not deer-resistant. Grown en masses, they make ideal edging plants for the
driveway or as awesome
groundcover under
pine
trees, driveway or edging.
Pachysandra
terminalis 'Silver Edge' can be substituted as lawn for
difficult areas of the garden.
