Comments: Senecio cineraria 'Silver Dust' or Dusty Miller or
Silver Ragwort or Centaurea maritima or Cineraria maritima or Senecio
candicans or Senecio cineraria or Senecio maritimus is an easy to grow perennial.
It has silvery leavesthat are velvety to the touch. In Summer
Senecio cineraria 'Silver Dust' produces clusters of long lasting bright
yellow flowers. Dusty Miller is easily propagated from cuttings or from
seeds. Mass plant Silver Ragwort as a striking groundcover or
plant them in the border or beds. Since Centaurea maritima is
drought tolerant, it makes an excellent rock garden plant. Senecio
candicans compliments well with other evergreen
perennials. Pinch to encourage bushiness. Senecio maritimus is
carefree and low maintainence. I planted several Senecio cineraria
'Silver Dust' under a tall tree where they can get the sun and they
loved it there.
