Comments:  Hemerocallis 'Condilla' or Daylily 'Bella Lugosi' is a tetraploid with a vigorous clumping growth habit.  It is a mid-season reblooming hybrid by hybridizer Hanson (1995).  In late June, Hemerocallis 'Condilla' produces 33" long scape of eye-catching non-fragrant, deep purple, self, single-petaled, recurved blossom with lovely slightly ruffled edges.  It has semi-evergreen foliage.  Daylily 'Bella Lugosi' is a diurnal rebloomer with dark green foliage.  It is easily propagated from rootball divisions and thrives best in well-drained, acidic or alkaline soil in a sunny or part shade environment. Hemerocallis 'Bella Lugosi' tolerates heat and drought.  Mass plant in borders or along walkways for a spectacular display.  Daylily 'Bella Lugosi' can also be container cultivated.  It is great for naturalizing.  The stunning deep purple flowers contrast well with its lime green throat and really stand out in the Summer landscape.  Hemerocallis 'Bella Lugosi'  is popularly cultivated by many hobbyists for its dark and beautiful blooms.

Interestingly, Daylily 'Bella Lugosi' is noted for receiving the following awards:
Award of merit
Honorable Mention
Lexitington All American Award
