Comments:  Iris 'Rare Treat' or Tall Bearded Iris 'Rare Treat' is a perennial bulbous plant with a fast clumping growth habit.  It is a showy hybrid introduced by hybridizer Schreiner in 1987.  In late Spring, Iris 'Rare Treat' produces spectacular, white blooms with 1/4 inch neat blue stitchings all around the edges.  It produces good bud count.
  It has herbaceous foliage.  Iris 'Rare Treat' is easily propagated from rhizome divisions in late Summer or Fall.  Tall Bearded Iris 'Rare Treat' thrives best in well-drained, sandy, alkaline to neutral soil.  It is carefree and drought tolerant.    Mass plant Tall Bearded Iris 'Rare Treat' for a terrific display in borders or accent planting.  Divide every 3-4 years to prevent overcrowding and fertilize in early Spring, after blooming and in the Fall.  Mass plant Iris 'Rare Treat' in the border or as accent plants for a terrific display.  It is an incredible show stopper.
