Comments: Ixora 'Nora Grant' or Flame of the Woods or Scarlet Jungle Flame is a hybrid tropical shrub with an upright growth habit. It is a warmth-loving plant and is popularly seen in many south Floridian landscape. In mid-Spring, Ixora 'Nora Grant' produces terminal red blossoms atop evergreen rubbery-textured foliage. This is later followed by seeds, much enjoyed by birds. Butterflies and bees are magnetized by the nectar-rich flowers. Flame of the Woods is easily propagated from woody stem cuttings. It thrives best in well-drained, moist, highly acidic, organic-rich soil in a sunny environment. Make sure the soil is nematode-free. Scarlet Jungle Flame makes an excellent specimen plant for the landscape. It can also be container cultivated in colder areas and brought indoor for the Winter. Ixora 'Nora Grant' adds a lovely color to the Summer landscape
