Comments:  Justicia Fruit Cocktail or Fruit Cocktail Shrimp Plant is an evergreen plant with a fast, upright growth habit.  In early Summer, it produces exquisite clusters of chartreuse and white shrimp-like blossoms with pink to red throats.  Hummingbirds and butterflies are magnetized by the nectar-rich blossoms.   Justicia Fruit Cocktail is easily propagated from stem cuttings.  It thrives best in well-drained, mildly acidic, neutral or mildly alkaline soil in morning sun and afternoon shade.  Colors on blossoms are more vivid if plants are exposed to more sun.  Prune Fruit Cocktail Shrimp Plant in late Fall to promote better blooms and a more rounded shape.  Mass plant in the perennial bed for an awesome display.  Justicia Fruit Cocktail can also be container cultivated.  It is pest and disease free and is low maintenance.  Fruit Cocktail Shrimp Plant is indeed a delightful beauty and easily stirs up a conversation.
