In mid-Summer, Kniphofia 'Pineapple Popsicle' produces vibrant colored flowerheads, followed later by seeds. It has herbaceous basal foliage. Birds, hummingbirds, bees and butterflies are magnetized by the nectar-rich blossoms. Dwarf Poker is easily propagated from seeds or rhizome divisions and thrives best in well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny location. It can tolerate moist or drought conditions. Deers tend to avoid this plant. Kniphofia 'Pineapple Popsicle' is a self-seeder and also spreads by means of its thick rhizomes. Mass plant for a delightful display in the mid-border.
