large perennial shrub or small tree with a weeping growth habit.
From Spring through Summer it bears eye-catching
ornamental blue flowers hanging from the stems among gorgeous variegated
foliage. These blossoms resemble miniature wisteria blossoms; bees
and butterflies are magnetized by its nectar-rich blossoms.
When the flowering season is over, orange-yellow berries appear; these
berries hanging gracefully from its branches are loved by pigeons and
songbirds as well.
