Comments:  Lagerstroemia indica or Japanese Crepe Myrtle 'Sarah's Favorite' or Crape Myrtle is a beautiful landscaping shrub with cinnamon exfoliating bark. This is a low-maintenance fast growing tree.  The leaves of Japanese Crepe Myrtle 'Sarah's Favorite' turn to a striking red-orange color in the Fall which makes it really stand out in the landscaping garden.
Deadhead to promote more blooms and thin out branches to promote good air circulation and help prevent mildew. Lagerstroemia indica 'Sarah's Favorite' is a host plant for the Gossamer-wing butterflies.  It makes an excellent landscaping, specimen or container tree. Japanese Crepe Myrtle 'Sarah's Favorite'  is hardy to -20 degrees F.
