Comments:  Sobaria sorbifolia 'Sem' or Zhu Mei Shu or Chinese Sobaria is a rare and unusual shrub with a branching habit.  It bears beautiful creamy-white blooms in July and August and it has colorful foliage that starts out from bronze and changes to green, then in the Fall they change to a gorgeous bronze-red.  Zhu Mei Shu can be trained to be a bonsai plant or grown as a specimen plant for the landscaping garden or grown in a container as an accent plant for the patio or deck.  This attractive and unique perennial shrub makes a great conversational piece.  Chinese Sobaria is a winner in my book.
