Adonidia merrillii is a beautiful fast growing palm tree with a
straight trunk. In Thailand, Veitchia merrillii is also known as
Palm Nuan. This is a fast growing tree that is easily
propagated by seeds . Christmas Palm is self seeding. In Winter,
the bright red fruits of the Christmas Palm ripens and fall onto the
ground. If not collected in time, these seeds then will set roots and
grow around the mother plant. Manila Palm can be grown in the
ground or grown in a container to accent the patio or grown as an indoor plant.
Palm Nuan thrives well in warmer areas. It is low
maintenance and is not frost tolerant. Adonidia merrillii adds a
tropical flair to the landscaping in my Casa Jenny garden in Esperanza
on Vieques Island of Puerto Rico -
