Plant image of Lantana Sonshine (Sonshine Hardy Lantana) coming soon...
Lantana Sonshine is a lovely perennial with a compact mound forming spreading habit. It originates from South America and loves full sun to part shade. Sonshine Hardy Lantana grows to about 3" tall and spreads to about 5'. It bears prolific clusters of beautiful bright 2-toned yellow blooms continuously from Spring till frost. Lantana Sonshine makes a terrific looking plant for the perennial bed. |
Plant image of Lantana involucrata shrub ('Snow White' Lantana,
Button Sage, Wild Sage) coming soon... Lantana involucrata is a heat-loving 2-3' tall perennial hybrid that produces clusters of showy white blooms with yellow center. Snow White Lantana is an ideal food plant for butterflies. It is a terrific looking shrub with an upright growth habit. Lantana involucrata enhances the beauty of the landscaping when planted in masses at about 1.5' apart. The mature flowerheads will become black berries which are poisonous and should not be eaten. Button Sage is an excellent coastal plant, is salt tolerant not as invasive as Lantana Camara. Wild Sage is drought tolerant and is easily propagated by seeds or hardwood cuttings taken in the Fall. Lantana involucrata tolerates full sun or sun to part shade for USDA zones 8-10. I love this beautiful plant as it provides refuge for wildlife. |
