Comments:  Loropetalum chinense  'Shang White' Emerald Snow or Emerald Snow Chinese Fringe Flower or 'Shang White' Emerald Snow Chinese Witch Hazel is an evergreen flowering shrub with a compact, rounded, layering growth habit.  In Spring, it produces clusters of delicate stringy fringe, creamy-white flowers, followed alter by seeds.  Loropetalum chinense 'Shang White' Emerald Snow has leathery, glossy, dense, green foliage but new leaves are lime-green in color.   It is easily propagated from seeds or hardwood cuttings and thrives best in well-drained soil in full sun or part shade environment.  Emerald Snow Chinese Fringe Flower is deer resistant and tolerates drought well, making it ideal for xeriscaping or in a rock garden.  It is heat loving and is low maintenance.  Trim for shape and size in Spring after flowering if necessary.
