Comments: Lysimachia nummularia or Creeping Jenny or Moneywort is a low growing perennial with a rapid trailing growth habit. It is a native of Asia and Europe. In late Summer, Lysimachia nummularia produces bright yellow blossoms followed later by seeds. It is easily propagated from rootball divisions or seeds and thrives best in well-drained acidic soil in a sunny to part shade location. Creeping Jenny has striking chartreuse leaves makes it an excellent foliage plant in the absence of its blossoms. Grow it as a lovely groundcover under taller trees or shrubs or grow them in hanging baskets or containers. Moneywort grows fast and soon forms a lovely carpet. It realy brightens up the shady landscape.
