Comments: Bletilla striata or Chinese Hardy orchid is a hardy
orchid plant that naturalizes and have a mounded habit. These perennials
thrive well given enough water during growing season and bloom better
when they are crowded. The beautiful and longlasting flowers of the
Bletilla striata are great for floral arrangements. Grown in masses,
they make excellent bedding plants or grow them incontainers to accent
the patio. There are several other cultivars of the Chinese Hardy
orchid.
