Comments:  Hibiscus Coccineus or Scarlet Hibiscus or Texas Star or Scarlet Rose Mallow or Swamp Hibiscus is a cold-tolerant lovely tropical perennial that has bright red blooms that attracts the ruby-throated hummingbirds. This is a host plant for the adult Painted Lady and Skippers butterflies.  Trim plant to promote more growth and blooms.
