Comments: Euphorbia heterophylla or Mexican Fireplant or
Milkweed or Mole Plant or Summer Poinsettia or Japanese Poinsettia or Hypocrite
Poinsettia or Wild Poinsettia or Painted Leaf or Catalina is a beautiful
tender tropical drought tolerant plant with an erect growth habit.
In mid-Summer, it's delighful to watch the bees and butterflies
gathering around the greenish
blosssoms of Mexican Fireplant. The upper leaves of Japanese
Poinsettia have interesting red blotches on them hence the common name
Painted Leaf. This perennial plant is drought tolerant and is easily
propagated from seeds. Once planted, you will always have them in
your garden; excess plants can be easily removed. Catalina
is carefree and low maintenance and do not tolerate the cold. They make
excellent xeriscaping plants. Grown en masses, Hypocrite
Poinsettia adds color to a rock garden or the borders. Mole
Plant is an easy starter plant for any beginner.
