Grass Wandflower or Whirling Butterflies is a beautiful and
carefree vase-shaped perennial
with a dense, clump-forming habit. This heat and humidity-loving
plant looks lovely espceially when it is grown in masses and when blown by the wind, the plants sway about reminscent of dainty
small butterflies flying around, hence the name 'Whirling Butterflies'.
Deadhead to promote more blooms and trim plant back after blooming to
maintain neatness and fuller growth. White Gaura is a low
maintenance, easy to grow bee and butterfly attractant. This
drought-tolerant plant
has deep tap roots and resent being moved. Lindheimer's Beeblossom
produces lovely long-lasting flowers. It is
an annual in colder regions. Lindheimer's Beeblossom is easily
propagated from seeds or from softwood cuttings.
