Buzzy Lizzy or Impatiens sultanii is a very easy to grow attractive
annual and they are available in so many colors. It requires
trimming to keep plant in shape and size when they become too leggy. The cuttings are easily
propagated. Busy Lizzy makes lovely bedding plants when grown in
masses in a mixture of colors. They add color to the patio in
hanging baskets.
Interesting note: The name 'Impatiens' is a latin word for
'impatient', meaning the ripe seedpods of the plant is 'impatient' to
let the seeds burst out when gently touched.
