The flowers do not need to be deadheaded and they continuously put out  never-ending blooms all Summer long. Melampodium paludosum 'Show Star' plants are very easy to grow and they love heat and humidity.  This plant is a self-seeder and you will have many more plants next season. The Zebra swallowtail butterflies love this plant.
