Comments: Neomarica gracilis or Walking Iris or Twelve Apostles or
Apostle Plant or Marica Plant is a lovely tropical perennial which
is cold hardy to about 30degF. This plant has a grass-like
clumping habit and loves being misted. The leaves represent the
diciples while Jesus is represented as the main stalk with flower.
The seeds are enclosed in a capsule with several cavities.
Interesitng note: It is believed that Apostle Plant
got its name from the legend that the plant will not bloom until it has 12
leaves on it.
