Comments:  Physostegia virgiana 'Summer Snow'
or Obedient Plant or False Dragonhead is a beautiful upright perennial plant that spreads by rhizomes.  This plant belongs to the mint family, and t spreads more rapidly in moist areas.  Obedient Plant flowers are borne on 4-angled hairless stem and they attract bumblebees and Ruby-throat hummingbirds.  False Dragonhead is low maintenance, easy to grow and sself-sows readily so deadhead if you do not wish to have any volunteer plants next season.  Provide enough spacing for it to spread.  Grow  Physostegia virgiana 'Summer Snow' in masses in the shade garden or in woodland settings for  their attractive spikes of beautiful blossoms or  grow them in containers to accent the patio.
