Comments:  Tillandsia recurvata or Moss Ball or Air Plant is a fascinating perennial plant with bluish-violet flowers.  It is an epiphyte and recieves its nutition from the atmosphere.
This is a nitrogen-fixing plant so excess plants can be used as mulch.  Air Plant loves high humidity and low light.  My Moss Ball plant loves it place on my Live Oak Tree.  Small warmbler birds or Tropical Parula are known to love nesting on  Moss Ball plants.  Tillandsia recurvata is a unique plant and is easily propagated by seeds.
