Comments:  Alcea rosea 'Indian Spring' or  'Indian Spring' Hollyhock is a beautiful drought-tolerant biennial.  An old-fashioned favorite, it self-sows so deadhead to prevent volunteer seedlings next season.  Bees and butterflies are attracted to the gorgeous flowers of   'Indian Spring' Hollyhock especially Painted Lady and Skippers butterflies.  The seeds are easily propagated outdoors in the Fall after the last frost or sow them indoors before the last frost.  Grown in masses, Alcea rosea 'Indian Spring'
make superb fencing plants or grow it as a background plant for the perennial border.  It is an excellent plant for xeriscaping.
USDA Hardiness Zones :  4-9
