It was a great discovery in Anjou, France by Rene and Maurice Prouteau. In late Spring, Polemonium 'Brise d'Anjou produces lovely blue flowers on long stems. It has lush, exquisite variegated foliage of green with yellow edges. Variegated Jacob's Ladder is easily propagated from clump divisions taken in the all or Spring. It thrives best in well-drained, rich, moist soil in a part to fully shaded environment. Polemonium 'Brise d'Anjou' can be divided every 2 or 3 years when overcrowded. Mass plant in perennial borders for a dramatic display. Variegated Jacob's Ladder is ideal in accent planting and contrasts well with other shade loving plants. It can also be container cultivated. Polemonium 'Brise d'Anjou' makes an excellent foliage plant in the absence of its blossoms. It is easy to fall in love with this magnificent beauty.
