Comments: Rosa 'Heritage' or Austin Rose or Old English Rose or Shrub Rose 'Heritage' is a showy rose with an upright, bushy growth habit. It is of hybrid origin, by hybridizer Austin, 1984. In mid-Summer and Fall, Rosa Heritage produces repeated clusters of peach-pink cupped, double blossoms, borne on new wood. The fragrance is a unique blend of sweet and spicy. Shrub Rosa'Heritage has shiny bright green foliage. It is easily propagated from stem cuttings, budding or grafting. Austin Rose 'Heritage' performs best in well-drained acidic soil in a sunny environment. The thin, almost thornless canes tend to be floppy; provide a trellis or arbor for it to display its showy blossoms. Prune early to promote new growth. Shrub Rose 'Heritage' is low maintenance and is resistant to mildew and rust. The hips are few. Old English Rose 'Heritage' is safe to plant along walkways or near the entryway. It is a delightful show piece.
