Comments: Rosa 'Lady Hillingdon' or Nearly Thornless Tea Bush Rose is a hardy climber/rambler with a medium growth habit. It was bred by hybridizer Hicks (1910) from parents are Rosa 'Papa Gontier x Rosa Mme. Hoste. From mid-Spring to frost, prolific, long waxy pointed buds on bronze-purple stems open to showy, fragrant, large, loosely-formed, cupped, semi-double apricot-yellow flowers with a darker apricot center. The freshly cut flowers makes a lovely bouquet. Tea Bush Rose 'Lady Hillingdon' has deciduous, dense glossy dark, purplish-green leaves. It is easily propagated from stem cuttings, budding, grafting or tip or air layering. Rosa 'Lady Hillingdon' thrives best in well-drained, rich, sandy, clayey loamy, acidic, netural or alkaline soil in a sunny environment. It prefers moist when young till established.
