Comments: Rosa 'Robin Hood' or Hybrid Musk Rose is a hardy Hybrid Musk shrub rose with a dense, vigorous growth habit. It was hybridized by Rev. Joseph Pemberton from England in 1927. It is the result of a cross between Seedling x Rosa 'Edith Cavell'. In late Spring, Rosa 'robin Hood' produces masses of mildly fragrant, large clusters of small, medium red flowers, borne on new growth. It has medium green leathery foliage. Hybrid Musk Rose 'Robin Hood' is easily propagated from heel cuttings or stem cuttings. It is not picky of soil types and performs best in a sunny environment. Rosa 'Robin Hood' also tolerates shade and drought. It is carefree and low maintenance. Provide plenty of space for Hybrid Musk Rose 'Robin Hood' to display its beauty and gracefulness. Prune early to promote new growths next season. Grow several Rosa 'Robin Hood' for an exquisite hedge. It makes a bold statement in the sunny landscape with its repeated large-clustered blossoms. Use Hybrid Musk Rose 'Robin Hood' as a stand alone specimen for an ever-blooming show-stopper. I cannot ask for more of this carefree, hardy and disease resistant rose. I love the beauty of its continuous, prolific clusters of pretty red flowers Rosa 'Robin Hood' brings to the Summer and Fall landscape. It captures a lot of attention from foot traffic.
