Comments:  Rosa 'Zephirine Drouhin' or Belle Dijonaisse or Bourbon Rose or Charles Burnett or Ingegnoli Predilette or Mme. Gustave Bonnet or The Thornless Rose is classic climbing rose with a moderate clumping growth habit. It is an 1868 hybrid rose by hybridizer Bizot.  In late spring, Rosa 'Zephirine Droughin' bears gorgeous prolific raspberry-scented long blooming cerise-pink semi-double blossoms on nearly thornless stems, attracting many butterflies.  Rosa 'Zephirine Drouhin' is easily propagated from stem cuttings.  This old-fashioned rose performs best in well-drained, moist, rich, loamy, acidic soil in a sunny or part shade environment.  It is also tolerant of the the shade or coastal conditions.  Trim early as blooms appear on new wood.  Allow Belle Dijonaisse to climb up an arch, trellis, arbor or even the porch for a terrific display and captivating aroma.  Bourbon Rose is safe to be planted in high traffic areas.  It makes an absolutely beautiful living fence or privacy screen.  Grow Charles Burnett to adorn the north-facing wall.  Ingegnoli Predilette is very popular with many hobbyists.  Its ceaseless blooms for the Spring, Summer and Fall garden makes it a much sought after plant.  Let Mme. Gustave Bonnet grow into a large shrub or give it a good trim for a fabulous informal hedge or group them as border plants.  Prune The Thornless Rose in late Winter or early Spring if needed.  Provide good air circulation and clean the base of plant every season.  Passer-bys would take several deep breaths of fragrant air whenever they pass by the garden during those 3 seasons.  Rosa 'Zephirine Drouhin' is a splendid show shower.  It easily strikes up a conversation.
