Comments:  Rudbeckia hirta 'Autumn Colors' or Black-eyed Susan or Gloriosa Daisy with a biennial or perennial with a fast, upright growth habit.  It is of hybrid origin.  From late Spring to mid-Fall, Rudbeckia hirta 'Autumn Colors' produces striking bright yellow flowers with purple-brown halo and black eye, followed later by seeds.  Butterflies and bees are magnetized by the nectar-rich flowers while birds enjoy feasting on the seeds. The freshly cut flowers make lovely bouquets while the dried flowerheads create Winter interests.  Black-eyed Susan 'Autumn Colors'  is easily propagated from seeds.   It thrives best in well-drained, sandy, clayey, acidic, neutral or alkaline soil in a sunny environment.  Gloriosa Daisy 'Autumn Colors' self sows readily so remove spent flowers if you not wish to have any volunteer plants next season.  Mass plant Rudbeckia hirta 'Autumn Colors' in perennial bed for a dramatic display in the Summer landscape.  It is low maintenance and is deer resistant.  Black-eyed Susun 'Autum Colors' is ideal for xeriscaping as it tolerates drought conditions.  Gloriosa Daisy 'Autumn Colors' can also be container cultivated.  It looks exquisite in accent planting.  It is grown as an annual in colder areas.  Black-eyed Susan 'Autumn Colors' is a fabulous show stopper.
