Comments: Ruellia malacosperma 'Alba' or Wild White Ruellia is a rare subtropical perennial plant with a colonizing growth habit. It is native of Texas. In mid-Summer, it produces continuous, showy, large, white trumpet-shaped blossoms from mid-Summer till frost. Ruellia malacosperma 'Alba' has dark green broad foliage. It is easily propagated from seeds or cuttings. It thrives best in any kind of soil, moist or dry, in a sunny to part shade location. Wild White Ruellia is low maintenance and is a lover of water. In a moist area, it spreads fast via runners and soon forms a nice colony. To control spread, plant Ruellia malacosperma in a container or in poor, dry soil. Use them around ponds or in the wet garden for a delightful display. Wild White Petunia attracts attention.
