pruniatum or Sedum reflexum is a hardy perennial succulent with a dense, fast, low growth habit. It has attractive blue-green succulent, smooth foliage. In late Summer, Sedum rupestre 'Blue Spruce' produces small, bright yellow blossoms, followed later by seeds. Deadhead to maintain its delightful blue-green appearance. Crooked Yellow Sedum is easily propagated from seeds, layering, leaf cuttings or stem cuttings. It performs best in well-drained, poor, neutral to alkaline soil in a sunny or part shade environment. Jenny's Stonecrop is low maintenance and heat loving. Deer would not go near it. Prickmadam tolerates drought well and is excellent for xeriscaping. Mass plant Spruce-leaved Stonecrop as exquisite ground covers. It is a fast spreader and soon forms a lovely carpet. Stone Orpine makes excellent rock garden plants. Use them on slopes. Petrosedum rupestre is shallow-rooted and performs well in difficult areas of the garden where nothing else can survive. It does not require much soil. Sedum pinifolium add colors to the landscape and attracts a lot of attention. In Europe, Sedum pruniatum is a useful herb. It is often used in salads but has got a savory taste to it. Sedum reflexum is commonly found grown in rooftop gardens.
