Comments: Syringa 'Josee' or Josee Dwarf Reblooming Lilac is a small, hardy deciduous woody shrub with a moderately fast growth habit. Its proud parents are Syringa patula, Syringa meyeri and Syringa microphylla. From late Spring till frost, Syringa 'Josee' produces repeated blooms of floriferous clusters of very fragrant lavender-pink blossoms, attracting many butterflies and bees. Florists are delighted with the gorgeous cut flowers. Remove spent blossoms after each flowering for several more times of blossom showers. Josee Dwarf Reblooming Lilac is easily propagated from from softwood cuttings or simple layering. It performs best in well-drained, mildly acidic, neutral or mildly alkaline soil in a sunny location. It is hardy to -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Syringa 'Josee' is low maintenance and is resistant to mildew. Deers would not go near this plant. Its compact size is ideal for smaller gardens or grown as a bonsai. Use Josee Dwarf Reblooming Lilac as a lovely hedge or specimen plant.
