Comments:  Tradescantia zebrina or Inch Plant or Wandering Jew or Commelina zebrina or Tradescantia pendula or Zebrina pendula quadrifolia is a tender tropical perennial with a fast trailing growth habit.  It is a native of Mexico.  Year round, Tradescantia zebrina produces small white blossoms.  It has soft, smooth variegated foliage with purple undersides.  Inch Plant is easily propagation from stem cuttings and thrive best in well-drained, moist, mildly acidic, neutral or mildly alkaline soil, in a sunny to part shade location, ideally between 50-75 degrees Fahrenheit.  Wandering Jew loves medium humidity.  Mass plant Commelina zebrina for a delightful groundcovers in the shade garden.  Its fast trailing habit soon fills up a wide area forming a colorful carpet.  Wandering Jew Zebrina makes an excellent plant for hanging baskets;  allow the stems to cascade down the sides for a delightful display.  Tradescantia pendula can also be container cultivated for the home or office. Trim plant when scraggly for a refreshing appearance and to promote a more rounded growth. Pendula zebrina quadrifolia is popular with many gardeners as it is an easy plant to grow.
